Networkless. Literally. And a so-called good beginning.

Ah~

At last, I managed to write a new post here. 2 days without internet felt as if there is a barrier between me and the world. Of course! No instant messaging with anyone – not even my housemate, I could not check my emails, I could not find out what’s the latest announcement in the E-Learning, no Friendster, I could not upload my deviations to deviantART, and yes, no blogging. Damn. As I type this post, 2 to 3 pop up windows came out, telling me there’s an IP conflict. Hmmm….

Today is the first day of the new semester. Class is at 1 PM. Woke up early to settle some things. Room registration, Analog lab registration, and network port registration. Hey, speaking of network registration, reminds me of another interesting way to start a new semester besides getting up late to class. Summons! Yeay~ Finally! It’s been a long time since I started here in UTP. As I walked to the ITMS Department Office, a ‘mak-guard’ called me. I took out my matric card. And held it in my hand. She took it, and told me “adik, (adik? I’m 20 already!) kita di UTP ada peraturan. Salah satunya ialah memakai kad matrik. Kami dah penat tegur, suruh gantung kad matrik dekat leher, tapi ramai yang tak buat. Rektor cakap kalau kami dah penat tegur, letak je lah papan tanda suruh budak budak pakai kad matriks,” She told me in a very disappointed tone. Like I care. LOL! Okay, back to the story, so I made a “so-what-and-I-don’t-even-care” look to her. She added more “saya dah 3 tahun letak papan tanda tu, masih lagi ada orang yang buat macam tu. So, pagi ni, kami dah puas tegur, kami saman je. Ramai dah yang kena saman,”

Typical! That’s what I thought. Yes, a typical reason to summon students. Haha. By the way, I’ve been around here for 3 years too! And I didn’t even see a notice board telling people to wear matric card or whatsoever. I didn’t have the card holder (or whatever you called it) and I didn’t have the time to go to the store to buy it. I just arrived yesterday.

She also told me that I could reduce the summons’ fee in Pocket D. Sigh. I’m too lazy to go to Pocket D, and I wondered whether the “pak-guard” there will reduce my summons or giving me free lectures. So, I just paid there without any delay. At the Finance Counter, the woman there asked me, “Adik, monyok je muka”. Ma’am, can you tell me who is laughing when he/she have been penalized? Sheeeesh~

Anyway, it’s all my fault actually, yes, for not wearing the matric card, but hey! I didn’t wear it either last semester. But no actions were taken by the Security Department.

So, I’m sorry if I hurt the “mak-guard” feelings, and I just wanted to ask the Security Department so that they are more friendly when penalize students. Haha. Not with an angry face.

I wonder what will happen in the next day?
